- 1989 - Kujaku Ou 2: Geneijou is released for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan.
- 1990 - Junction is released for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan.
- 1993 - Shining Force II: Inishie no Fuuin Game Guide Book, a book, is released in Japan. In the United States, the Sonic Hot Air Balloon appears in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time. The float held more air than the others and is the first float ever created based on a video game character. The float crashed into a lamppost and injured 2 people.
- 1994 - Garou Densetsu Special, Madou Monogatari III: Kyuukyoku Joou-sama, and Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R are released for the Sega Game Gear alongside Lethal Enforcers II: The Western for the Sega Mega-CD in Japan. Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament and Psycho Pinball are released for the Sega Mega Drive in Europe.
