Hideaki Miyamoto (宮本 英明) is a former Sega sound composer employed within its AM2 department who started with Sega System 32 title Burning Rival. Notable roles include being the composer of Virtua Cop 2 and the Sound Director for SpikeOut, for both of which he acted as Hidenori Shoji's superior during the latter's early career.

Following his work on the Xbox version of Shenmue II, Miyamoto left the company and, in May 2004, founded Flarewave inc.. Titles he has been involved in following its inception include Blue Dragon (sound effect production), Vampire Rain and Escapee Go! (as main composer in both instances) and Sine Mora.

Despite having left Sega, Miyamoto has provided sound production assistance for the Yakuza series beginning with its third entry and even created two tracks for its fourth.
