Manufacturer: Hasbro |
Hyperscore is a modem-style device by Hasbro for the Sega Mega Drive and SNES that was intended to record players' high scores, transmit them through the phone line and add them to league tables. The tables would then be published on Teletext. The peripheral was intended for release in October 1995 for £29.99, but was cancelled. Calls to the high-score logging service were to cost 50p each.
It is unknown exactly how the device would interface with games (plugging a game into the top, like a Game Genie, seems most likely), or which games would be compatible with the service. Hasbro published no games for the Mega Drive.
