The Multi Game Doctor II or MGD2 (sometimes styled as MGD²) is a successor to the Multi Game Doctor, a device that allows for the copying of cartridge-based video games including the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Game Gear.
The MGD2 is a (presumably) cost-reduced version of the device, with most of the features built into one unit rather than spread across several components. Like the original it connects to consoles using different adaptors, with Mega Drive and Game Gear variants on sale alongside Famicom, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, PC Engine, PC Engine SuperGrafx and Neo Geo. Connectors are more substantial than the original, which used fragile ribbon cables.
