The Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player is a handheld Sega Mega Drive console using console on a chip technology and is manufactured by AtGames. The console has a backlit lcd screen, SD card slot, headphone jack, rechargable battery, and TV out plug.
As with previous Sega Mega Drive consoles released by AtGames the sound emulation is poor and game compatibility is in the mid range. No ROM compatibility list exists.
40 Commercial games, and 40 ATGames developed games are included on the unit, with more games available through use of a SD card.
Usage
The rechargable battery should be charged 11 hours before first use. After that it can fully recharged in 3-4 hours. If a AC Adapter is desired for use then it should have a input voltage of 100-240V AC with output voltage of 5.0V and output current of 500mA.
A standard 2 GB max size SD card can be used to store and use ROM's on the unit. SDHC cards are not supported. ROM's must be in BIN format. As it is common for websites to rename BIN rom's to GEN, changing the extension to BIN will make the ROM compatible with the console. Games should be stored in a folder labeled "Games" on the root of the SD card.
Saving is not supported in any of the Genesis's games that used battery backup.
