The Sega Mega Drive version of Batman Returns (バットマン・リターンズ) was developed by Malibu Interactive and released by Sega internationally in 1992. The game is based on the movie of the same name and not related to the SNES version, which is a side scrolling beat'em up developed by Konami.
Gameplay
The game is a platforming beat-'em-up. punches. jumps, + grapples up to the nearest ledge, and + jumps down to the platform immediately below. START allows you to choose from a series of special weapons which can be used with . The baterang weapons can be slightly aimed by holding up or down. Holding while jumping makes Batman glide. It's often not possible to avoid taking damage due to the way enemies are positioned or attack.
The game is divided into 4 acts with sometimes several stages. Using a continue transports Batman back to the beginning of the respective act.
