NBA Jam Tournament Edition (NBA JAM トーナメントエディション or NBAジャム・トーナメントエディション) is a 1994 arcade basketball game developed by Midway and ported by Iguana Entertainment and Acclaim to the Sega Mega Drive , Sega 32X , Sega Saturn , and Sega Game Gear . It is the second game in the NBA Jam series, following NBA Jam .
Gameplay
The following are changes from the previous game as listed by the games attract mode.
Updated Team Rosters with at least 3 players from each team. 25% of the NBA now included.
Player attributes. For Power blocks, steals, clutch, and passing.
Substitutions. This allows for players to solve matchup problems.
Allow players to choose the same team. This should help determine the better player.
Improved gameplay with faster movement, more realistic situations, and more depth.
More dunks, more secret powerups, more special moves, more speech, more skill.
Super star matchups and other surprises if you can defeat all 27 teams.
Tournament mode turns off all powerups and disallows any hidden features.
Hot spots and icon play put a whole new spin on the game. (Hot Spots give higher points and allow special dunks if shooting or dunking while touching them)
Tag mode lets you fully control the teammate who has the ball.
Juice mode. When you feel the need for speed. Four settings let you tune the speed from mild to wild.
