Takashi Shoji (庄司卓) is the director of the Sega Project Support Department. He began as a programmer in 1987, his first game being a Master System shooter aimed at the European market^[6]. One of his earliest notable works was Alex Kidd in Shinobi Worldmarket^[7], also not released in Japan. Some of his best known games on Master SyStem starred licensed characters such as Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Asterix^[8].

Shoji switched to providing technical support in the mid 90's. He has been a committee member at CEDEC since 2008.^[3]
