This short article is in need of work. You can help Sega Retro by adding to it .
The House of the Dead (ザ・ハウス・オブ・ザ・デッド) is a light-gun game initially developed for Sega Model 2C CRX hardware in 1996. It is the first in the The House of the Dead series, and was ported to the Sega Saturn and Windows PC in 1998 due to its success.
The game is a rail shoot-em-up, where you must shoot zombies.
Versions
As was typical for Model 2-to-Sega Saturn conversions, the Saturn version runs at a lower resolution with a lower frame rate. The Saturn game uses lower quality textures and fewer polygons than the arcade.
