The Amiga CD32 is a home video game console created by Commodore International and released in 1993 in Europe, Australia, Canada, and Brazil. It was based on Commodore's Advance Graphics Architecture chipset and was similar in specifications to the Amiga 1200 personal computer. It competed against the Sega Mega Drive and the Mega-CD. The first Christmas period following its launch, it outsold the Mega-CD, but it was discontinued in 1994 as a result of Commodore's bankruptcy.
