Career

From nearly as early as she can remember, Fumie Kumatani felt an affinity for music creation, stating: "I don't remember why I started but I said to my mother while crying 'No more candy, please give me a piano!'"[6]

Kumatani left Sega in 2008; however, she would continue working with the company in a contract role up until the release of Sonic Colors.

Artistry

Fumie Kumatani composes in various genres ranging from house music to classical piano.[7] Her music has been self-described as ennui-like and coquettish.[7]

Quotes

I create music because I love music! When I create I first begin to think about the atmosphere and visualize the spectacle. I try to sing a song where the music is likely to start in the game.
