Gekion Live Coaster (撃音 ライブ コースター), sometimes written as Geki-On Live Coaster,[3] is a large attraction designed by Sega Interactive and manufactured by Gerstlauer. Made to replace Veil Of Dark in July 2016,[2] it combines an indoor spinning roller coaster with an interactive rhythm shooting game, and is advertised as the world's first rhythm game coaster.[1]

Gameplay
Gekion Live Coaster begins with a series of three static rhythm gameplay sections where players are challenged to shoot a circular target to the beat of LOPIT's pop single "Kioku, Kiroku" - similar to Sega's Maimai series. Once these sections have been concluded, the coaster enters a launch track and begins the course proper, twisting and inverting through the cramped indoor spaces of Tokyo Joypolis as the remainder of LOPIT's song plays.
Shortly afterward, songs from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise were added to the rhythm game.
Events
During collaboration event periods, the music selection and theme will change similar to other attractions at the park. During no-event periods, the standard LOPIT/Sonic game is played.
