The Sega Mega Drive stands as Sega's most popular video games console, and variations of the unit are still being released today. There are several models of the console and it was frequently bundled with different games. This page has been split into different regions in the interests of simplicity.
These lists do not cover "consoles on a chip" - just official systems with cartridge slots. It also does not include hardware variations such as the Sega Mega Jet and Sega Nomad, "combo" systems such as the CDX, X'eye, Pioneer Laseractive and Aiwa Mega CD, or computers such as the Sega Teradrive, Amstrad Mega PC, al-Alamiah AX-660 or al-Alamiah AX-990.
