Sega Worldwide Soccer 97, known as Victory Goal Worldwide Edition (ビクトリーゴール ワールドワイドエディション) in Japan, is a football game developed by Team Aquila and published by Sega.

Gameplay
For its time, SWWS97 was considered to be one of the best football games available on the market, although was displaced in the coming years by more advanced rivals. The game is not licensed by FIFA so cannot use real team or player names, however it attempts to stick as close as possible to the 1996 football season and allow users to rename players should they see fit. Some of the fictional players include names of the development staff, and in the case of Wales and Scotland, writers for the UK's Sega Saturn Magazine.
Commentary is offered by Gary Bloom, notable for commentating on the sport across various British TV channels.
