Team Vega was a division within Sega CS during the mid-1990s. They merely worked on the original J. League Pro Soccer Club o Tsukurou! for the Sega Saturn before being merged with Sega CS2.
Keeping with the "space" theme Sega were fans of during this period, Team Vega is named after the star Vega in the Lyra constellation.
