Nintendo Switch Online is a paid subscription service for the Nintendo Switch.

Overview
For varying monthly or annual fees, Nintendo Switch users can gain access to a variety of features on the system, including online play, cloud backup for saved data, vouchers and exclusive offers on the Nintendo eShop, and a wider range of custom player icons. The service also offers a library of games for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy, all with support for online play.
The September 2021 Nintendo Direct announced the addition of the Expansion Pack for a higher price tier. This tier offers DLC for certain games available for free, and adds Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive games for Nintendo Switch Online. Game Boy Advance games were later added for Expansion Pack members as of the February 2023 Nintendo Direct.
