Ghost in the Shell 1995-11-18 The film's famous "water fight" scene was significantly inspired by Virtua Fighter 2. Directors Kazuchika Kise and Mamoru Ishii played a great deal of the game during the movie's production, and per Oshii, “When people ask about Ghost, I actually think of VF2”.
