The Super Retro Trio Plus is a clone console manufactured by Retro-bit, which first appeared on the market in 2017. Taking advantage of expired patents, it combines an Nintendo Entertainment System, an Super Nintendo, and a Sega Mega Drive console into a single unit. It is based on the TCT-6803 console-on-a-chip. It is a successor to the Super Retro Trio, with the added features of HDMI output and a micro usb based power supply. It retails for $79.99 in North America.
It is available in white/red for NTSC regions and black/blue for PAL regions. The PAL version includes an additional PAL/NTSC switch for the SNES side of the console.
It was also available as the Super Retro Trio Plus: Joe & Mac Edition which retailed for $109.99 and was limited to 1,000 units. It includes a limited edition Ice Age Blue Joe & Mac 3-in-1 SNES cartridge.
In early 2021, the black/blue version was made available for NTSC regions as the Galaxy Edition for a limited time.
Also in early 2021, the white/red version was re-released with different pack-in controllers, although the console itself remains identical to the 2018 version.
In early 2023, a revised version of the console added a 4:3/16:9 aspect ratio switch to the front of the console (located in the same spot used for the PAL/NTSC switch on the PAL version of the console).
The red/white versions of the console have the same poor-quality audio on the SNES side as the revised version of the Super Retro Trio. The black/blue PAL version and the black/blue NTSC Galaxy Edition do not have this issue.
Unlike the original Super Retro Trio, the Super Retro Trio Plus only outputs mono audio for both the Genesis and SNES side through both its HDMI and composite jacks.
It is also incompatible with the Super Retro Advance adapter.
