Sega of China (also known as Sega (Shanghai) Software and Sega Studio China R&D) is a subsidiary of Sega based in China, headed by former AM1/WOW member Makoto Uchida, created in 2002 during the production phase of "Project Altered Beast". In addition to creating original games, Sega of China also offers development assistance and porting/conversion duties, such as the 2008 PlayStation 2 release of NiGHTS into Dreams.
