The Minigen HD is an unlicensed Sega Mega Drive clone console by Gamerz Tek released in 2018.
The console resembles a miniaturized version of the Sega Genesis model 2. It is the successor to the Minigen, with the added features of HDMI output, 4:3/16:9 aspect ratio switch, and a usb-based power supply.
It is compatible with Everdrive flash cartridges and high capacity multicarts, though Virtua Racing, Sega CD and the Sega 32X do not function at all.
It outputs a 720p signal through it's HDMI port and an NTSC video signal through it's composite video port. While a region switch allows users to select NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases, PAL region-locked games are not compatible. Despite having and HDMI port and dual audio jacks on the rear, the console only outputs mono sound.
The console includes 2 wired 6-button controllers, HDMI cable, standard composite av cables, usb cable and ac-to-usb adapter.
