The Modern Mate is a very rare unlicensed console that combines the features of a Japanese Sega Mega Drive with a Nintendo Famicom, possibly one of the first consoles to do so. It was also released in South America as the Mega 16 Plus.
Very little is known about the system, though it appears there is a joystick and six buttons built into the console, making it a bit impractical. Bizarrely the system seems to claim it is a "24-bit" console by adding the 16-bit processor of the Mega Drive to the 8-bit one of the Famicom.
