This short article is in need of work. You can help Sega Retro by adding to it.
The HG-806, sometimes labelled PocketGame, is a handheld console-on-a-chip by Hamy.
It closely resembles a PlayStation Portable and can play Sega Genesis and Sega Mega Drive cartridges, and also features built-in games (with older models containing 19 and newer models containing 68).
It has a 2.4-inch LCD screen but can also be connected to a TV set. It only outputs mono sound through all ports. It has a region switch for selecting between Overseas and Japan. It has a built-in rechargeable battery pack.
By default it is set to PAL 50Hz, but it can be easily modified to NTSC 60Hz. In it's default state, setting the switch to Overseas will put the console into the European region setting. After modifying to NTSC 60Hz, setting the switch to Overseas will put the console into the US region setting.
It uses the same casing as the Atgames GenMobile, but it uses a TCT-6803 console-on-a-chip (the GenMobile uses a Titan ARM core running a software emulator). Because of this, the HG-806 has higher compatibility and more accurate sound than the GenMobile. It is also compatible with Everdrive flash cartridges.
It is available in black, pink, and blue.
