Many unlicensed post-2000 Mega Drive consoles opt for a smaller Mega Drive design. The shell is common and is modelled after the Mega Drive 2 design, however it is not thought to have been used by any official consoles, suggesting the following systems may be linked in some way.
Interestingly, like its full size counterpart, both the "push down" and "horizontal" power switches were brought forward for unexplained reasons.
