The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, also called simply the 3DO, was a home video game console created by The 3DO Company. The 3DO was not a console manufactured by the company itself. Instead, it was a series of specifications created by the 3DO Company and licensed to third-party companies, which included Panasonic, Goldstar (now LG), and Sanyo. The platform competed against the Sega Mega Drive and Mega-CD and later the Sega Saturn.
