NHL Hockey for the Sega Game Gear is the first and only Game Gear entry in Electronic Arts' NHL series. It is a different game to the Mega Drive version with which it shares the same name, instead being based off of the later NHL 95 release. However, the original Mega Drive version did get ported to the Game Gear by US Gold as Championship Hockey. A sequel NHL 96 was advertised for the Game Gear, but went unreleased.
