History
Elitserien 95 was only released in Sweden and became a best-seller during the Christmas of 1994. There were no official sales chart in Sweden back in the mid-90's, but Elitserien 95 was number one in individual store charts such as the large retail chain Åhléns. The game sold 37,000 copies, making it the best-selling game after Sonic the Hedgehog in Sweden and an important title that led to an increased market share in the battle for dominance during the 16-bit war. Electronic Arts would release a second rebranded game Elitserien 96 a year later. Both were converted to Swedish by the company Neurostone.
The player in white on the cover is Olympic gold medal winner Jörgen Jönsson in the Rögle BK dress. The player to the left in red dress is [wikipedia:Thomas Berglund|Thomas Berglund] from Luleå Hockey. Only the number 2 is visible on the goalie's jersey but it's most likely Torbjörn Rosengren with number 23.
