Sega Software R&D Dept. 6
From Sega Retro
Sega R&D Soft Dept. #6 was a video game research and development division within Sega and successor to Sega CS1. It is largely different to CS1, with the majority of those developers leaving Sega to join the new start-ups Artoon and Land Ho!. R&D#6 is largely based on Sega PC instead.
R&D #6 only existed for fourteen months before becoming Smilebit. It is assumed that the department operated similarly to CS1, just with a new name.
