History
Development
Programmer Mark Lesser was reportedly surprised to hear that Electronic Arts had awarded such a high-profile sports title to a game developer (Blue Sky Productions) with little experience working with the Genesis hardware. Following the project's completion, both Lesser and Blue Sky artist Doug Wike were hired by Electronic Arts.[1]
