Katsuhisa "Kats" Sato (佐藤 勝久) is a Japanese artist, producer, and designer most notable for his work at Sega of Japan, first 2 years on arcade games at Sega AM1 such as Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death and OutRunners, then in the CS department working on the Clockwork Knight series and several sports titles, and for later serving as senior producer at Sega Europe.

He is sometimes credited as Katsuhiko Sato, which may have led to confusion with another artist named Katsuhiko Sato (佐藤 勝彦), who worked on sports games in Japan while Katsuhisa was in Europe, and continued to work for Sega after Kats Sato left to work at Sumo Digital[1].

History

Katsuhisa Sato served as producer on a number of spin-off Sonic the Hedgehog games, such as Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic R.
