Hiroshi Aso (麻生 宏) is a former Executive Supervisor for Sega employed since the mid '80s. He began as an arcade game designer, making his 1985 debut with Heavy Metal[1], with notable ensuing titles including Space Harrier, the wrestling games Body Slam and Wrestle War, Alien Syndrome and Thunder Blade. He switched to 8-bit game development at Sega R&D 2 come the release of the Game Gear, for which he directed the majority of launch titles, and ensuing games like Kuni Chan no Game Tengoku 1 & 2, Batman Returns and the 2 Astérix games.
In 1994, his role changed to producer of Sega CS3, so oversaw many of the teams responsible for Mega Drive and 32X titles released alongside the new Sega Saturn console. After several corporate restructures in 1995/1996, Aso remained producer, but for second-party Saturn developers. He left Sega sometime around 2000, and was part of the fittingly named company Aso.
