Toughman Contest is a Sega Mega Drive boxing game developed by High Score Productions and published by Electronic Arts. Released in Europe in March 1995, it was later released in the United States that July. Based on the titular amateur boxing competition, the game was ported to the Sega 32X by developer Visual Concepts and published worldwide in June 1995.

Gameplay

Toughman Contest is a boxing game played from the first person, in a style similar to Nintendo's Punch Out!! arcade games.

Versions

While the content is the same, Toughman Contest on the 32X has entirely re-designed backgrounds to take advantage of the wider colour palette of the system. It also offers slightly higher quality speech samples than its Mega Drive counterpart.
