    History

    Legacy

One of the writers of the show, Masayuki Kibe, is a Sega fan. He later became the writer of Hi-sCoool! SeHa Girls. He also is a Square Enix employee.

In Seasons 1 through 3, the show heavily used musics from Headhunter and Headhunter Redemption, despite both games never being released in Japan. For episodes re-released on DVD, the musics were replaced by BGMs used in Seasons 4 through 8.

Footage from the Famicom version of Fantasy Zone can be seen during the intro to the film Game Center CX THE MOVIE: 1986 Mighty Bomb Jack. However, only Sunsoft is credited for it in the staff roll, rather than both Sunsoft and Sega.

The show had a crossover with Masahiro Sakurai's personal YouTube channel and vice-versa in October 2023. Hailing from Sakurai's personal channel, he and Arino played the Nintendo Switch versions of Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone.[8]
