Which division of Sega actually existed.
At first there was an R&D1 and R&D2 Source from R&D1: https://web.archive.org/web/20030422213943/www.hitmaker.co.jp/top/lounge/corumun/site/corumun_txt22.html "
Koichi Izumi (designer) Heavyweight designer of a hit maker who engaged in numerous works such as "Rail Chase 2" "Lost World" "Magical Trocco Adventure" "Confidential Mission". My hobby is eating with my daughter who is 4 years old. And youkai freak. Most recent projects are Ms. Kumagai's projects. It is so-called Kumagai program. Kumagai Masafu 's schedule "There is no delay in the schedule, craftsmen's designer who will complement and expand the world view of the work" It is so. It is one of the staff who feels the thickness of the hit maker. "Hitmaker who is talking about now (former AM 3 lab) 10 years history"? I can not speak as much as history, but let's write it for the time being.
First of all, it was the first R & D department (1 lab) that became the mother of Hitmaker. It is a department mainly developing business game. The titles that were created were Super Monaco Grand Prix, Golden Ax, Bonanza Brothers, Gain Grand, Tetris, Aliens Storm, RadMobile, Shadow Dancer, Quiz homework forgotten, Last Master .... Okay" Source for R&D2: https://sega.jp/fb/album/09_shi/interview1.html "He belongs to the second R & D department (department that produces consumer software) as a planner. "
This was during the 80's

CS2 is interresting as it relates to two articles on Wikipedia which are in need of drastic change, Sonic Team and Sega Sports R&D. The third link proves that Sega Sports R&D does not exist anymore, and that the responsible producer is located at CS2. Sega Sports R&D does not have a hiring site after 2007, and genereally there is nothing to find on the internet if you search for "スポーツデザイン研究開発部 (Sega Sports Design)" after 2008. Finally on the Sonic Team article an important thing is that it stops around 2004. Both GE1 and CS2 links should hopefully provide with enough sources of what was afterwards. Not to mention that Sega Studio USA does not exist anymore: http://videogamesdaily.com/interviews/201010/interview-sonic-teams-takashi-iizuka/2/ (very last question of Interview is the quickest source I could find).
CS3 http://www.jasst.jp/symposium/jasst13tokyo/pdf/E4-1.pdf (Mentions game and division) http://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/interview/572264.html (official Interview mentions division) http://joshinweb.jp/game/cmt_30.html (official Interview mentions division) http://blogs.sega.com/2013/11/25/sega-3d-classics-space-harrier-3d-interview-with-developer-m2/
