International Consumer Electronics Show

International Consumer Electronics Show, or just CES is a major technology trade show which takes place annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. From a video game perspective, CES was the event used by top console manufacturers and game developers/publishers in the US before the creation of E3. It still exists today, though is mainly geared around electronics, with the video game industry usually avoiding the event (with the exception of Microsoft).
CES has changed significantly since its inception in 1967. From 1978 to 1994, CES was held twice each year: once in January in Las Vegas known as Winter Consumer Electronics Show (WCES) and once in June in Chicago, known as Summer Consumer Electronics Show (SCES).
