In the 70s Switzerland was one of the countries where Sega imported its game machines.
Lausanne-based Logicosoftware SA released the Sega Master System in Switzerland in 1988.At the end of 1990, Videophon became the distributor. The company has released Sega Mega Drive, Sega Game Gear and Sega Master System II.After the success of Mega Drive, Sega Europe entered to this country, but in 1996 it closed its office.
From 1996 to 2001, the distribution of Sega consoles was handled by Sega Germany, which chose its distributors.
In 1996, TCI's technology group got the rights to distribute Sega Channel in Switzerland , but it is not known that the service was launched there.
Dreamcast Internet was available from December 2000.
