History of Sega in Afghanistan |
---|
Little is known about the history of video games in Afghanistan given its current political situation. Little is known about its activity by Sega in the gaming business in that country and it is unlikely that it has carried out activities in that country. It is known that some of the arcade games and consoles produced by Sega reached in some way either by third parties, clandestinely or distributors. They became moderately known among the players of the region. As of 2021, Afghanistan is now under the Taliban rule once again as their plans are unknown for video game consoles and software being forbidden.
Even so, given the presence of the US military in Afghanistan, some products and video games produced by Sega for last generation consoles have been brought as entertainment for the soldiers established in the military bases. [1]
