The Sega Master System II is known to have been officially distributed in South Africa, with produce translated into Afrikaans. At that time, the Consumer Electronic Specialty Ltd. was the distributor of Sega. The Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega CD were released.
Since 2012, the distributor is Ster Kinekor Entertainment. Sega Mega Drive Classic was sold from 2016 by Apex Interactive.
