In most regions of Africa, the distributor was Sega Europe. The first consoles began to appear in the early 90s in the PAL standard. Also in some regions Asian models could be found but they were rare. Sega Mega Drive I and II gained some popularity in this region. Between 1996 and 1997, Sega Saturn also appeared, but it was very rare. Likewise, it was later with Sega Dreamcast.In Africa, games for various platforms are also published by Sega Europe until today.
