History of Sega in Malaysia


Official Sega distributor(s): Wywy Group (1993-200x), New Era (2005-present) , Play Interactive (2016-present)

In 1993, Wywy Group began distributing Sega products in this region. Sold Sega Game Gear, Sega Mega Drive model 2, Sega Mega-CD, Sega 32X (all in PAL) and Sega Saturn (white version of NTSC).^[1].

New Era since 2005 is a distributor.^[2].From 2016 games are also sold by Play Interactive^[3]
