In the 70s Colombia was one of the countries where Sega imported its game machines.[1]
In the early-90s official distributor came to release Sega products in the region. This lasted until 2002 when the distributor closed due to combatting piracy, the rise of imports and competition from Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft which caused Sega to exit the console market the year prior. Latam Games distributes Sega games in Colombia from 2012[2]. The company also cooperated with NC Games[3].
