Sega PC
Founded: 1996-04-01[1]
Defunct: 2010-07-01
Merged into: Smilebit (2000), Online R&D (2010)
Headquarters:
Japan
1996-04-01[1]
2000

Sega PC was a division within Sega of Japan dedicated to porting games to the PC platform, as well as producing externally developed titles for the platform. It was headed by Shun Arai. In 2000, its development staff became Smilebit.[2][3][4]

Sega PC continued to exist as a publishing label, and sometime in the mid 00's it focused on original content for mainly the Japanese audience, such as The Typing of the Dead 2 and Sega Splash Golf.
