History of Sega in Vietnam


Official Sega distributor(s): Unknown (199?-2010) New Era (2012-2019) Unknown (2019-present)

Some Sega systems have been released in Vietnam in the past. A lot of them were available in game centers where people could play on it without buying them this was because game consoles wasn't allowed in the 80s and early-90s due to the ruling party at that time. But however a unknown distributor released Sega products in the 90's and lasted until 2010 due to bankruptcy. New Era from 2012 to 2019 was a distributor. In 2019, SEGA teamed up with another unknown distributor due to its current Asia distributor not able to reach Vietnam.
