Forstar distributed the Sega Master System[1], Sega Mega Drive[2], Sega Mega CD and Sega Game Gear in Uruguay for a short period. Company was association with Brazil's distributor, Tec Toy[3] who got distribution rights in Uruguay in 1992. Barraca Europa took over a distribution[4] shortly before Sega 32X release. They are mostly known from supporting Sega Saturn.
While not as widespread of a problem as was the case in Argentina, video game piracy was rife in Uruguay, with unlicensed games being far more common than their official counterparts.
From late 2000s, Sega games are distributed locally by two distributors - Latam Games and NC Games[5][6].
