Terminator 2
At the beginning of the 90s in Bulgaria, Famaclone Terminator 2, modeled after the Sega Mega Drive, began to enjoy popularity. Lack of Nintendo and Sega on the market caused that the console was unrivaled. Some companies have started to take advantage of the popularity of the console. The WEN-BC company has signed agreements with Chinese producers for the production of unlicensed cartridges and later the company sold them in Bulgaria. There was also a Balkantronic company that produced cartridges and sold them in special packaging. She also released Terminator 3, which differed only in packaging and wasn't as popular as its predecessor.
Pulsar
Around 1994, the Pulsar(Пулсар) company took over Sega's distribution in Bulgaria. Company released Sega Mega Drive II in 1994 and in 1995 Sega Master System II and Sega Game Gear . Mega Drive quickly became the second most popular console after Terminator 2 in Bulgaria. The company decided to issue add-ons to the console such as Sega Mega CD II(in 1995) and Sega 32X (in 1996). Mega Drive was sold until the end of the 20th century. In the 90's, Sega Saturn was also released, but it was not as popular as its predecessor. Pulsar is still a distributor of Sega in Bulgaria.
Sega bootlegs
The popularity of the Sega Mega Drive console has prompted many to distribute bootlegs.WEN-BC company noticed the popularity of the console and decided to sold the unlicensed cartridges for Mega Drive.There was many bootleg consoles on the market that can be found to this day .
