History of Sega in Egypt
Official Sega distributor(s): Cactus International (198x-198x), Red Entertainment Distribution (200x-2019)

This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

The Sega SC-3000 was distributed in Egypt by Cactus International. The console was known in the second half of the 1980s when it had to compete with the Atari 2600 whose original versions and copies were popular in Egypt.

The Sega Master System was distributed and advertised in Egypt in the early 1990s.[1]

Later, the regional distributor was and still is Sega Europe which has been delivering goods to local distributors for many years. From the late 2000s, Red Entertainment Distribution was involved in the sale of Sega products until 2019. It’s unknown where will SEGA products resume sales due to its current MENA distributor being unable to reach Egypt due to the country’s ongoing situations.

Sega Toys are distributed by NewBoy.[2]
