In the 70s Ghana was one of the countries where Sega imported its game machines.[1]

It's known, that Mega Drive was distributed here from at least early 1990s, through certain authorized distributors and was sold in European and Asian PAL format.

From mid-2000s, Sega games are released with more focus according to European standards.
