The Summer International Consumer Electronics Show 1992 (SCES 1992).

While Accolade were at the show, on-going court battles with Sega of America meant they were unwilling to show any Sega software[1].

George Foreman came to promote George Foreman's KO Boxing, while Vanna White arrived for GameTek's video game adaption of Wheel of Fortune[3].

Summer CES 1992 would be the first proper showing of what would become the year's best selling video game, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, although Sega only had a very early prototype to show behind closed doors and forbid the press from taking photographs or video[3].

Sega also took the opportunity to reduce the price of the console down to $99[1] to match Nintendo's (also announced) price cut for the Super NES. This was also the event that the Menacer was first seen[3].
