Sega CS
From Sega Retro
Sega CS R&D or Sega Consumer Research and Development Department was a division within Sega of Japan. Previously known as R&D2 in the eighties, it was the first department established specifically to produce console games.
This page compiles all games made by staff to have confirmed programmers, planners and designers working on Sega games during the eighties until the mid nineties. As well as games that have executive management by Mamoru Shigeta, Yoji Ishii, Makoto Oshitani, Koichi Nagata and Noriyoshi Ohba who have frequently collaborated during the nineties. By April 1996, Sega employed the system of it's AM department, by spunning off three seperate R&D departments by CS1 headed by Makoto Oshitani, CS2 headed by Noriyoshi Ohba as well as CS3, headed by Yuji Naka.
