The Summer International Consumer Electronics Show 1994 (SCES 1994) was the last Summer CES to be held.
Sega had a smaller presence in this event than previous years, with only a single room in the basement[1]. The company had originally planned to host its own show in Orlando, Florida, but changed its mind[2], and much of what was on display had previously been announced at Sega Gamer's Day 1994.
Nintendo had a much larger presence, with an elaborate staging area for the Super NES game Donkey Kong Country and Ultra 64 technical demos being shown behind closed doors[3]. Some third-party publishers were situated in the Nintendo area so were unable to demonstrate Sega titles, such as Capcom[4].
Sega put together a promotional video for the event, starring American singer Lou Rawls. It marked the first time the general public were able to see Sega 32X games in action (albeit running on development kits, where only one of the SH2 processors was operational[5]), but despite being teased at Winter CES 1994 five months prior, the Sega Saturn was nowhere to be found.

32X
Summer CES 1994 was the first public outing for the 32X, though the system was still in a very early state at this point in time. What few demos were available were supplemented with pre-rendered videos, and in the case of Star Wars Arcade and Virtua Racing Deluxe, Sega Model 1 arcade footage.

Mega Drive
With the 32X still months away, the Mega Drive (or Genesis) made up the bulk of Sega's offerings at Summer CES, and was the focus for third-parties. Alongside some sports games, Dynamite Headdy, Ecco: The Tides of Time and Taz in Escape From Mars were the main stars of the show, with Sega also introducing the Sega Club range aimed at younger players. Of more interest to the gaming press were the successors to Disney's Aladdin; Virgin Interactive's The Lion King and Aladdin programmer David Perry's Earthworm Jim. The home ports of Mortal Kombat II also drew crowds.
